About Cultwatch

What is Cultwatch?

Cultwatch is a para-church organisation made up of people from different Christian denominations. (Para-church means not founded, owned, or controlled by any one church group.) Cultwatch's two main aims are to help the people trapped in the cults and to warn people about the cult danger before they are ensnared. Cultwatch is a Christian based organisation dedicated to helping people from all walks of life.

What is a cult?

We define a group as being a cult in two ways (with most cults actually qualifying on both counts):

  1. The group practices mind control. That is, they use psychological, social, and/or moral techniques in order to control people.
  2. The group (openly or secretly) teaches major errors in their doctrine (such as who Jesus Christ is) while masquerading as Christian or compatible with biblical Christianity.

    How is Cultwatch funded?

Cultwatch is funded by private donations. People who use Cultwatch's services are not expected to pay for them, however a donation would help us to pay the bills! If you would like to help Cultwatch then you may be interested in becoming a Cultwatch Supporter - a person who helps us by praying for the ministry and/or supporting us with very small regular donations. Contact us if you would like more information about this.

Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ who has made all of this possible.
